Within the framework of international events - International Symposium "Optics and Biophotonics-IV" and the 20th International School for Junior Scientists and Students on Optics, Laser Physics & Biophotonics, held at the Saratov State University in the period from 26 to 30 September 2016 the seminar "Low-dimensional structures VI" finished its work. Chairman of the seminar is DSc, Professor Olga E. Glukhova. Terms of scientific issues considered at the workshop is extremely wide and covers the most advanced trends in the field of nano- and biotechnologies. Scientists, graduate students and students at Saratov State University and specialtists working in this scientific field in the leading Russian and foreign universities. In this year, the doctoral thesis of Julia A. Baimova at Institute for Metals Superplasticity Problems of RAS on the current topic "Structure and physical properties of graphene-based nanomaterials" was presented on the session of the seminar." It should be noted that graphene nanotechnology is currently one of the main branches of science nanosystems industry. The research team headed by O.E. Glukhova actively works in the field of graphene and composite materials based on it, and regularly publishes the results of own works in leading Russian and foreign scientific journals. New results of the collective research were also presented at the seminar in oral and poster sessions.
