2nd International Conference on Catalysis and Chemical Engineering, February 19-21, 2018 Paris, France

The conference of the 2nd International Conference on Catalysis and Chemical Engineering (Paris, France), held in late February, gathered a large number of specialists engaged in interdisciplinary research at the interface of materials science, nanotechnology, chemical engineering, electrochemistry and modeling. The conference was held in the format of scientific sessions, discussion platforms, interactive lectures and master classes. Saratov State University was represented at the conference by the head of the department of radio engineering and electrodynamics, Professor O.E. Glukhova. Olga Evgenevna not only made a Invited Speaker on the topic “Single-Shell Carbon Nanotubes for Ion-Lithium Batteries: Thermodynamic Stability and Charge Transfer”, but also moderated a scientific session of the conference Engineering Engineering | Simulation & Modeling. Scientific report of Professor O.E. Glukhova contained new results obtained during the study of thermodynamic stability and physical phenomena in carbon nanotubes decorated with iron nanoparticles. This nanomaterial is new and is considered as a promising candidate for creating a new generation of lithium ion batteries on its basis. Work in this scientific direction is carried out jointly with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (scientific group of Professor AG Nasibulin) and Aalto University (scientific group, Professor Kallio, Espoo, Finland). According to the results of the conference, the results of the reports presented will be published in the journal Topics in Catalysis by Springer.
