Scientific development of Glukhova Research Group "A method for generation of electromagnetic radiation of giga- and terahertz frequencies," is awarded by patent for the invention №2013151936. Authors of the invention are the Head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Electrodynamics of Saratov State University Dr., Olga E. Glukhova, Assistant of the Department of Radio Engineering and Electrodynamics of Saratov State University, Ph.D. Anna S. Kolesnikova, assistant of the Department of Radio Engineering and Electrodynamics Ph.D. Mikhail Slepchenkov.
Research group by Olga E. Glukhova proposed a new method for generating the giga and terahertz waves using single-walled carbon nanotubes filled with fullerenes. Radiating element of this design is the individual positively charged fullerene, oscillates in a potential well created by the interaction of fullerene and nanotube under the action of an external electric field. Research work in this direction is the staff of the Department of Radio Engineering and electrodynamics is compatible with the scientific group of faculty of radio and Engineering by Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland).
