PhD thesis defense G.V. Savostianov

October 11, 2018 passed the thesis at the dissertation council D 212.243.01 on the basis of the Saratov State University in Physics and Mathematics. A young teacher of the Faculty of Physics, Georgiy Savostianov, who graduated from graduate school, presented his work.
The thesis George Savostianov "The patterns of current flow in the oxidized graphene nanoribbons type" zigzag ", and branched structures based nanotubes like" chair "," dedicated to revealing the electrical current flow patterns in the oxidized graphene nanoribbons type "zigzag" and branched solid structures of SWNTs of the “armchair” type, as well as the development of a software system for modeling electronic transport in nanostructures is given type. Supervisor: Head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Electrodynamics, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor Olga Evgenevna Glukhova.
On the basis of the research performed by the applicant, the influence of the atomic structure of T-shaped compounds of single-wall carbon nanotubes of the “armchair” type on the value of their contact resistance has been established. The physical effect of the appearance in the density profile of electron states of oxidized graphene zigzag nanoribbons of a series of segments of zero local electron density was found with an ordered arrangement of a finite number of deposited oxygen atoms. The influence of the width of the nanoribbling on the contribution of edge electron states to the electron transport of oxidized graphene zigzag nanoribbons is shown. A computational scheme for calculating the electron conductivity of extended nanostructures with inhomogeneities and branching is proposed. A set of programs for the study of the atomic structure and electrophysical characteristics of solid-state carbon nanostructures, molecular structures and clusters has been developed.
The official opponents were the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Priority Technologies of FSAEI HE "Volgograd State University" I.V. Zaporockova and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department "Information Security of Automated Systems" of the Institute of Applied Information Technologies and Communications of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Establishment of Higher Education "Saratov State Technical University named after Yury Gagarin" Plastun Inna Lvovna. Leading organization: Skoltech Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), an autonomous non-profit educational organization of higher education.
Members of the Dissertation Council D 212.243.01 on the basis of the SSU highly appreciated the submitted work and unanimously voted for the award of G.V. Savostianov scientific degree of the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences in specialties 04/01/04 - "Physical electronics" and 05.13.18 - "Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and program complexes"
