5th International Conference on Nanotechnology and Materials Science(Nanotek-2017)

In October, the International Scientific Conference 5th International Conference on Nanotechnology and Materials Science (Nanotek-2017) was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), bringing together leading scientists, researchers, engineers and practitioners working in the field of nanotechnology to exchange information on the latest developments in research and innovation. The conference discussed topical scientific problems in some of the most advanced industries of the nanosystems industry: Advanced nanomaterials, Methods for obtaining and analyzing nanomaterials, Nanoscale electronics, Nanotechnologies for energy, Nanotechnologies in life sciences and medicine. From the SSU in the work of the conference took part the head of the Department of Mathematical Modeling, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor О.Е. Glukhova. Professor Glukhova received an invitation from the organizers to participate in the conference as a keynote speaker in the plenary session and as a moderator of the sectional sessions, opening the conference with a welcome speech and closing the forum with a brief summary. Report O.E. Glukhova "Novel hybrid carbon materials and their applications in the development of nanotechnology and nanophotonics" was devoted to the analysis of the prospects for the use of film composite materials based on carbon nanotubes and graphene as an elemental base of optical nanodevices and as an electrode in ion-lithium batteries. The results of the presented studies have already been published in the high-ranking journal "Carbon" (Elsevier publishing house), which is a recognized leader among scientific publications covering the latest achievements in the field of carbon materials science.
